A Working Group chaired by Dr David Reynolds from the IRC East of England has designed the IRC Network Quality Charter. It has been presented and warmly welcomed at the 7th IRC Annual Meeting held in Nuremberg, in November 2002.
- The Mission sums up the background, purposes and benefits of the network:who we are and what we do
- The Values are the beliefs of the network in which we have an emotional investment.
- The Codes of Conduct are expected standards of behaviour to protect the network's reputation.
- The Guidelines support the practical implementation of the Codes of Conduct, see also Operational Manual
The adoption of the Quality Charter is based on a voluntary basis and, the IRCs that decide to abide by its rules, obtain the so-called Quality Charter Logo. To apply for the Quality Charter and to receive the Logo, read Ms Weissenhorn Letter addressed to you on 29 October 2004: "Fostering
the use of the Quality Charter", location in the Virtual Library, only available in pdf format
To this day 28 IRCs have signed the quality charter.
The list of IRCs that have signed the Quality Charter Logo is available here
